1. Christina Sommers in today's NY Times on the proposed "Paycheck Fairness Bill," which would make it easier for women to file class-action, punitive-damages suits against employers they accuse of sex-based pay discrimination. Q: Now that young, childless, single women earn 8 percent more than their male counterparts in large metro areas (21% more in Atlanta), couldn't men also file class-action lawsuits if this bill passes?

This is a confirmation of the Iron Triangle of China, Wal-Mart and the U.S. government. Wal-Mart, China's largest private customer, juices it sales by catering to government aid recipients. China uses its massive foreign reserves as loans to the U.S. The loans are used as benefits to the unemployed. Rinse and repeat with increasing loads.

Yet if that dodgy doctor screws up, recourse is near-impossible to get due to jurisdiction.

So you do your homework ahead of time and you don't have to worry about "dodgy doctors." My wife and I saved thousands by getting work done in Colombia by USA trained professionals.

That's great, so long as you believe the tort lobby's lies that all adverse outcomes are due to error, and that all error can be eliminated.

Folks, this is nothing new and it's certainly not limited to Wal-Mart. The first of the month has been a gravy train for retailers for decades.

So its NOT courtesy of the people leeching off of the productive, eh?

I guess Sethstorm would rather have these people go hungry. Of course, the ideal is to eliminate the bread line in the first place by shutting down Obama's economic wrecking ball.

Paul:
No, the ideal thing is to have those people not go hungry, because they found work; that work being from employers having to actually hire, and in the applicant's favor. They find work, the business gets to be more productive with them, and a true mutual acceptance si reached.

All possible because the wrecking ball was precisely aimed at the people who refuse to hire, destroying only them. That is, the proverbial wrecking ball breaks the strike of capital by business.

And how, pray tell, are you going to mandate employers hire?

Well sethstorm talk to your president about his inane attempts to kill private enterprise...

Make it harder for them to say no, especially to the long-term unemployed. Make it harder to stay small or to get around laws designed to get people hired.

Juandos:
I'm not wanting to kill the private sector. They just want to slit their own wrists if they don't get their way.

So you're going to turn employers into welfare for the unemployed and increase economic growth by fiat? Brilliant!

They already do that through the unemployment office.

If employers thought they were a willing partner and not royalty, then such measures would not be necessary. Besides, it's not as if our nation wasn't willing to do that with something a bit more impersonal in the 1970's.

Employers just think they should be the only ones who should be able to ask for/get perfection. There is a huge problem when the individual is asked to accept less.

Well the young communist apparchick sethstorm apparently thinks that stealing from the productive for income redistribution is somehow a good thing: "If employers thought they were a willing partner and not royalty, then such measures would not be necessary"...

Well sethstorm if you were able to talk this Congress into pulling the stunt you express here you would see a massive exodus of what would be 'former American citizens' that would make the previous attempts of all the peoples escaping or attempting to escape the former communist countries seem like a minor traffic flow problem...

You didn't earn it yet you think you deserve it...

Amazing!

Nice smear attempt, but you really just dodged the main point.

Why can a company expect & get perfection while an individual is asked to take less?

ROFLMAO! You still don't understand your own point...

"Why can a company expect & get perfection while an individual is asked to take less?"...

Why its quite simple sethstorm, the company is paying the money...

The person doesn't have to work there and the company doesn't owe the person a job...
