Hmmm, who is Pollster pimping for here?

From Rasmussen Reports dated Saturday, July 31, 2010: 'daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-five percent (45%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -20'...

j-

in fairness, this poll (45% approve) is awfully close to the rassmussen version (44%).

what's interesting is how much earlier rassmussen got this level and how, once again, the other polls have converged to them, demonstrating once again that they are the most accurate (as in the last 2 elections) and that they have the most predictive value.

i'm sure that the vilification of them will continue as daily kos et all make up their own polling numbers, but at the end of the day, rassmussen turns out to be right far more often than anyone else.

the rassmussen data does have one interesting implication:

if 44% approve, but only 25% strongly vs 56% disapprove with 45% strongly, it's clear where the strong sentiment is. generally, if your strongly disapproves outweigh your overall approval, you are in pretty deep trouble.
